Being, Becoming and Growing: FAP turns 5!

frederike asael photography is turning 5! It has been quite a ride. From building my brand to attracting new clients, I have learned a lot along the way. It seems like the days passed in a blink of an eye and the weeks like one breath. It’s hard to believe it is already spring again! In 2017 I helped build up two companies and faced some personal challenges due to health issues in my family. This past year was a reminder that being healthy is the most precious gift, something that should never be taken for granted. In retrospect, I am tempted to say that my motto for 2017 must have been „grind abe u seckle“. I had my head down and was running – I was busy keeping things together so I lacked the time and energy to communicate about it much.

From 2016 onwards, I worked with several partners to build up Impact Hub Bern, bringing together innovators from large companies and small businesses, freelancers and other individuals with project ideas that have a positive impact on society. We are continuing to grow a vibrant community, design and develop innovative and exciting projects, and create a safe space for people to realize their full potential. Why am I so committed to this work? Because I deeply care about the challenges we face in today’s world and because I strongly believe that we need combined forces to tackle them. And because I love encouraging people to achieve their goals and inspire others, something I can do as part of the Impact Hub team. After celebrating its first anniversary last fall, the Hub is thriving and inspiring many people locally and globally, and I am asked more and more to speak publicly about our journey.

I really want to highlight: I will not stop taking pictures, I will not stop being a passionate photographer who loves to tell my clients stories through pictures. Photography continues to be my personal way to communicate. In fact I am planning to do an intense further education in photography in 2018 / 2019, and am excited to dive into the subject more than ever before. 2018 started extremely promising, and I am truly looking forward to what will come this year – and am thankful to everyone who has supported me along the way.
